MRI for Long Bone (Lower Extremities) (Procedures) - Video Lesson

Hey everyone, welcome to today's lesson on the MRI of lower extremity long bones. In this lesson we will discuss patient setup and slice positioning, indications for this exam and discuss some imaging challenges associated with this study. Let's get started. An MRI of long bones of the lower extremity include either the femur or the tibia and fibula. If both areas were indicated, they are scanned as separate studies. This type of scan is particularly useful when soft tissue or bone marrow abnormalities are of interest.
