In this lesson, we will discuss patient setup and slice positioning, indications for this exam, MRI anatomy, and discuss some imaging challenges associated with this study. Let's get started. Some common indications for this study include labral tears, ligament injuries, joint pain or swelling, cartilage damage, and bone or soft tissue masses. Prior to beginning the study, it is important to get an accurate and thorough patient history to aid the radiologist in diagnosis. Let's take a look at the patient setup for this exam.
