This lesson focuses on how the phase encoding and frequency encoding gradients control the placement of data points into k space. We will discuss the relationship between encoding gradients and k space data points. Let's get started. As we begin this lesson, let's remember a few key points about k space. K space is not the image. It is a place where data is stored which is later turned into an image. K space has two axes, the phase axis and the frequency axis.
