Data Acquisition and Image Creation - Video Lesson

Hey, everybody. Welcome to today's lesson on kSpace. This lesson focuses on data acquisition and image creation. Specifically, how spatial frequencies are converted into data points in a process called sampling. Essential processes like frequency and amplitude modulation and analog to digital conversion will also be covered. As an echo is generated, the coil will take samples to generate the signal. The echo exists in the patient, and the signal is a representation of the echo produced from sampling. This signal is how the data gets into and fills kSpace. Remember, kSpace is the storage space for the data points acquired during an MRI scan. When the echo arrives at the receiver coil, it consists of signals from all the tissues in the patient's slice. These signals represented by waveforms contain all the phase and frequency.
