Understanding these concepts is essential because MRI is not a one size fits all procedure. Each patient brings unique challenges and it is our responsibility as technologists to anticipate risks, adapt protocols and ensure safety while obtaining diagnostic quality images. Throughout your career, you will be expected to conduct MRI exams for many different patient populations. This lesson focuses on claustrophobic patients, patients with large body habitus, as well as patients who are prisoners or detainees.
