Three unique hazards include hybrid imaging systems, surgical instrumentation and ultra high magnetic fields. Let's get started. First, let's discuss hybrid imaging systems. Hybrid systems such as PET MRI present special risks because they combine two powerful but distinct technologies into a single system. On one side, you have the MRI environment with its strong magnetic fields, gradient switching and radio frequency energy. On the other, you have a PET machine.
