Hey, everybody. Welcome back. This lesson is an overview of radiation detection devices. Radiation detection devices fall into three broad categories. The first category being equipment survey devices. Equipment survey devices ensure proper radiation output of X-ray machines. These devices are used by medical physicist to ensure that x-ray machines are producing just the right amount of radiation. For example, these devices are used to ensure that the MA and KVP assigned at the control panel are the actual MA and KVP used during the exposure.
