Phase, Pulse, and Frequency - Video Lesson
Hey, everybody. Welcome back. This video is about the phase pulse, and frequency of the x-ray circuit. Let's start by talking about phase. Phase refers to the number of wave cycles in a circuit. The most basic alternating current power is single phase, like you see on the screen. This means there is just one distinct waveform Also notice how the voltage drops all the way from the maximum down to zero between pulses. This is called single phase, even when the current is rectified. Single phase half wave rectification looks like this. Notice how the reversing electrons have now been blocked. The original x-ray tubes were single phase halfway rectified like this. The voltage drops all the way to zero, and there are large gaps between the voltage pulses. This means the x-ray
