Exposure Errors - Video Lesson

Hey, everybody. Welcome back. In this video, we're talking about exposure errors that may occur in radiographic imaging. First, we should define receptor exposure. Exposure is the amount of radiation striking the receptor. And, obviously, our goal is to expose the receptor to just the right amounts of radiation. Not too much, not too little. There's a huge number of variables that influence receptor exposure, especially the mass, but also the KVP, as well as grids, filtration, the patient size, and many, many more. All of these things have to be taken into consideration to make sure that we have just the right amount of exposure reaching the receptor.
