MRI for Brachial Plexus (Procedures) - Video Lesson

Hey, everyone. Welcome to today's lesson on the MRI of the brachial plexus. In this lesson, we will discuss patient setup and slice positioning, indications for this exam, MRI anatomy, and discuss some imaging challenges associated with this study. Let's get started. The brachial plexus is a network of nerves from C5 to T1 spinal roots affecting the upper limb, shoulder, and chest. It forms trunks, divisions, cords, and branches, enabling motor and sensory functions. Some common indications for this study include unexplained weakness of the upper extremity, thoracic outlet syndrome, and tumors or masses. Trauma is another common indication, particularly from seat belt injuries as a result of motor vehicle crashes. Prior to beginning the study, it
