Modes of Operation - Video Lesson
Hey, everybody. This lesson discusses fluoroscopy modes and their functions. Each mode offers unique benefits along with distinctly different operations. There are three commonly available fluoroscopic bones, conventional, pulsed progressive, and high level control. There's also digital subtraction and geography, a form of processing, which involves image subtraction which is commonly used in interventional fluoroscopy. Although these modes are primarily determined by the physician performing the exam, It is important that the healthcare worker is knowledgeable about the changes each would make to the image and to patient dose. The first mode available is conventional or standard fluoroscopy. When the exposure switch is activated, the x-ray tube produces a continuous beam. In conventional fluoroscopy, the MA levels are typically between zero point five and five MA. Automatic brightness control regulates the MA and the KVP based on optimum image brightness requirements and will adjust for change
