Field of View - Video Lesson

This lesson is about the field of view used in CT imaging. A CT scanner actually has two fields of view. The scan field of view refers to the entire area inside the scanner that's actually being scanned. The display field of view refers to just the area that is being processed for viewing. It might seem a little odd, but not all of the scan data collected during the imaging procedure is actually processed for viewing. Only the data within the display field of view is processed and displayed. Information outside of the scan field of view is not processed at all, and it's not even saved on the computer.
