MRI Shoulder (Coronal) - Video Lesson
Hey. Welcome back. This sectional anatomy tutorial is of the shoulder. We'll be looking at an MRI scan in the coronal view. In this coronal view of the shoulder, we're starting on the most anterior edge of the shoulder. We can see a few important muscles. We can also see a few important bones. The most obvious bony structure is right here. This is the head of the humerus superior to the head of the humerus. We can see the acromion process of the scapula, and we can also see the coracoid process of the scapula. There's a few important muscles that we'll notice on the most lateral edge of the humerus. We can see the deltoid muscle. The deltoid muscle is the large muscle that covers the entire outer border of the shoulder. On the most upper edge of the shoulder, we can see an important muscle called trapezius. Below the trapezius, we can see a muscle that we call the supraspinatus.
