MRI Brain (Sagittal) - Video Lesson

This sectional anatomy tutorial is on MRI of the brain. This time, we're going to look at the brain in the sagittal view. Really nice thing about looking at the sagittal view of the brain is you only have to memorize half of the anatomy because the other half is exactly the same. In this first view of the brain, we're looking at the most lateral portion of the brain. And so the most lateral lobe of the cerebrum is actually the temporal lobe of the cerebrum. The temporal lobe is the most lateral lobe of the brain. And as we go deeper, we'll begin to see other lobes of the brain. In this image of the brain, we can still see the temporal lobe, but we can also see the frontal lobe of the brain we can see the parietal lobe of the brain, and we can see the occipital lobe of the cerebrum, and we can see the cerebellum. So most of the major structures of the brain are actually visible in this image. Something else that we can see in this image that's not as easily visible in other views of the brain is a fish
