We'll discuss subdural hemorrhage, sometimes called subdural hematoma. We'll also talk about epidural hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracranial hemorrhage and we'll finish with traumatic contusions. So to begin with subdural hemorrhage, A subdural hemorrhage is exactly what it sounds like. It's bleeding in the subdural space. Remember the derma matter is part of the meninges surrounding the brain. And a subdural hemorrhage is bleeding inside of the subdural space. So what causes subdural hemorrhage, it can be spontaneous but more often than not, a subdural hemorrhage is the result of trauma. And you can see what it looks like.
