Hey, everybody. Welcome back again. In this lesson, we're talking about the effective dose. Remember that each radiation measurement is used in slightly different ways. Exposure measures radiation intensity in air The air Kerma also measures radiation intensity and air. The absorbed dose measures radiation energy absorbed in tissue. So we can use the absorbed dose to evaluate the risk of short term radiation injuries like skin or athena. Equivalent dose, is used to compare harm based on the radiation type, and finally the effective dose. This is used to compare harm based on the radiation type and the tissue type.
