Mobile Fluoroscopy - Video Lesson

Hey, everybody. In this lesson, we will be discussing mobile fluoroscopy. We will also discuss the types of machines used in mobile fluoroscopy and how to orient the fluoroscopic image when using a mobile fluoroscopy system. As the name suggests, mobile fluoroscopy systems are designed to be portable and are used in procedures that cannot be performed in a traditional stationary RF room, mobile fluoroscopy systems are mounted on a wheeled cart or platform and can be brought into many settings. Such as operating rooms or in vascular units. Mobile fluoroscopy systems are called c arms and are named for their distinctive shape. The X-ray tube and the image receptor are attached to one another by a c shaped arm. Let's talk about the components of a c arm. The components of a c arm are an imaging unit consisting of an x-ray tube and either an image intensifier or a flat panel detector.
