Interventional Suite Radiation Safety - Video Lesson

Hi. I'm here to talk about radiation safety in the IR suite using the personal protective equipments. We have a lot of movable shields here that will allow us to protect the doctor and the tech as much as possible. This is a movable shield that hangs down from the table. We also have additional shielding That's removable on top as we need to get in particular positions that will allow it to, protect it from the different angles. We have a floating shield that hangs down up on top that will allow us to collimate from a different angle than the shielding hanging down below. You have a rolling shield available to the nurses who are normally at the head of the table monitoring the patient. This can be moved around depending on where they are in relation to, the x-ray beam. We have, foot pedal that is movable for the radiologist to use. You can step back when
