This essential topic forms the foundation for understanding the anatomy and physiology of the body to aid in radiographic positioning. In this video, we'll cover appropriate medical terminology related to the relationship of parts of the body in anatomic position and body movement and discuss ways technologists utilize anatomic relationship and body movement to perform radiographs. Let's get started. As you may remember from the body planes, surfaces, and landmarks lesson, anatomic position is the reference position for all planes, surfaces, and directional terms. Anatomic position is an upright position with arms slightly abducted, hands by the sides, palms forward, feet together, head directed straight ahead.
