T1 Recovery - Video Lesson

Hey, everybody. Welcome to today's lesson on MRI contrast principles. This lesson focuses on t one recovery. Different tissues have different t one recovery times, which determines their brightness on the MRI image. In this lesson, we'll discuss the rate of t one recovery, the relationship between repetition time, t r, and t one recovery, and how the t one recovery time of different tissues impacts the contrast in an MRI image. T one recovery is also called t one relaxation, longitudinal recovery, or spin lattice relaxation. T one recovery occurs when hydrogen nuclei release the energy they receive from the RF pulse into the surrounding environment. In a different lesson, we discussed the process of relaxation, which occurs during the time between RF pulses when hydrogen nuclei
