Abdomen - Video Lesson

In this view, we will be demonstrating an AP supine abdomen also known as a KUB. The AP abdomen should be performed with the patient lying supine on the table. With a forty inch source to image distance and no tube angulation. And patient is laying down. I have the IR placed in, lengthwise. My locks are engaged. I am set at forty SID. I am choosing not to shield. It would obviously be in the way of the field of view. I am going to use the central ray at the crest, and I'm gonna use the mid sagittal plane. I'm gonna float the table there. I'm going to keep my field of view open to a fourteen by seventeen. I'm gonna place the marker on the right sign. The breathing instructions will be exhale. And we're gonna hold very still
