Everybody. Welcome back in this CT protocol review. We're talking about extremities, sometimes called musculoskeletal imaging. This is a large category of procedures that includes the upper and lower extremities. May include the bony pelvis, the hips, the knees, the ankles, shoulders, the elbows, the wrists, and the group of procedures that we call orthography. This video is an overview of all of these procedures because fortunately immunity imaging usually shares several common characteristics. We'll start by talking about the indications for musculoskeletal or stremity imaging. This is straightforward. It may include pain in a joint or limb, a suspected or known fracture, or bony deformities. Usually, we're talking about imaging of a joint or bone as a result of injury. MRI is the furred modality for soft tissue concerns such as ligament injuries, infection, or mass. Here's an example of pathologies
