CT Liver - Video Lesson

Welcome back. The CT protocol reviews about the CT multi phase scan of the liver. There's lots of things that can go wrong with the liver, and there's lots of ways to scan the liver but this special protocol is basically indicated for one reason. If the patient has some kind of tumor in the liver and we need to identify what it is. The patient has a tumor, if they have cancer, if they have metastatic cancer, or some kind of benign tumor, all of those are reasons that we might use the C multi phase liver scan to identify what the patient's specific condition is. Since we're needing a detailed look of just the liver, our slice parameters are designed to that end. We'll be using thinner slices, two point five millimeters for viewing And then as usual, for our post processing, we'll need even thinner slices, like one point two five or smaller.
