CT Facial Bones (Axial) - Video Lesson
This sectional anatomy tutorial is on CT of the facial bones. Enjoy. CT of the facial bones usually includes just the bony structures of the face. And so that's what we'll be looking at in these images. As you can see, the first image that we're looking at is on the suit anterior portion of the face. And what we're looking at is the frontal bone, and what we see right here are the frontal sinuses. We can also see the very upper portion of the orbital roof on both sides, and we can see a partition in the middle of the frontal sinuses. That's very normal. Most people have some type of partition inside of the frontal sinuses. As we go lower into the face, we can see other structures of the facial bones. In this particular image, we can see clearly the nasal bone And then between the orbits, which is posterior to the nasal bone, we can see two sets of the paranasal sinuses. In this area,
