Fast spin echo pulse sequences significantly cut down imaging time, so having a thorough understanding of the theory behind them is critical. Let's get started. Fast spin echo or FSE, also known as turbospin echo or TSE, is an MRI pulse sequence technique that accelerates image acquisition by acquiring multiple echoes following a single RF excitation pulse. You may also hear FSE referred to as rare, which stands for rapid acquisition with relaxation enhancement.
